The Georgetown Sports Analysis Business and Research Group is a student organization at Georgetown University whose goals are to develop interest and awareness of the sports industry, to educate students about career, internship and education opportunities related to sports, and to engage in sports research. We aim to achieve these goals through attending relevant conferences, writing blog posts, giving informational presentations, hosting guest speakers and working with Georgetown’s varsity athletic teams.

Academic Year 2015-16 Officers:
Nick Barton – President
Nick is a junior in the McDonough School of Business, majoring in Operations and Information Management as well as Finance. His favorite sports teams include the Philadelphia Sixers, Baltimore Orioles, and the Cleveland Browns, where he is currently employed as a Business Analytics intern. Nick participates with other Georgetown organizations as a sports writer for The Hoya and a member of the club soccer team.
Aidan Curran – Executive Vice President
Aidan is a sophomore in the McDonough School of Business, and plans on majoring in Finance. Aidan is a diehard Boston sports fan, and Tom Brady’s #1 fan. When not writing for GSABR, Aidan is a contributing writer for The Hoya, covers the Washington Redskins for Scout.com, and also covers the Georgetown Hoyas’ Men’s Basketball team for MadnessBreakdown.com. Aidan focuses on NFL film study articles and occasional articles on NBA topics.
Isabel Singal – Vice President of Operations
Isabel is a sophomore from Toronto studying finance, accounting and mathematics. She has been a lifelong suffering fan of all Toronto sports teams, especially the Toronto Blue Jays. She keeps busy as a credit officer with the Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union, an analyst with the Georgetown Investment Fund, and a member of the club softball team.
Spencer Simmons – Treasurer
Spencer is a sophomore in the McDonough School of Business. He is planning to major in Finance and Management as well as minor in psychology. He is from New York, explaining his interest in the Mets, however he avidly follows the Eagles in football and the Thunder in basketball. In addition to GSABR, he is a member of the Relay for Life and Breast Cancer Alliance clubs, and is planning to join club basketball, golf, or boxing in the upcoming year.
John Torres – Editor
John is a sophomore in the College, planning on majoring in Economics and English. A South Philadelphia native, he passionately roots for his hometown teams and honestly believes that Philadelphia sports fans are the best in the world. Outside of GSABR, John is also an ESCAPE Team 25 leader and a member of GIVES. He spent this past summer working as a Marketing Intern with VILLA, and will spend this incoming semester as a Premium Sales and Marketing Intern with the Washington Redskins.
